Coronavirus is making it really hard to navigate for college students, first gens especially, and communities as a whole. Would you agree with this statement? Are you finding it hard to get through online classes, suffering anxiety, sudden depression, overwhelming hopelessness?
My Story in Navigating Trauma
Well, as a first generation college student and graduate, my heart is burdened for the students that are being left hopeless in this crisis. After having a crisis of my own, in navigating life after college (and through), having an uncontrollable circumstances arise is all too real for me. I know how it feels to feel alone. I know how it feels to try everything, still ending up on the short end of the stick. I know how it feels to feel hopeless. But, most importantly, I now know the most important result; which is becoming a overcomer, a victor of tumultuous circumstances. I now know how it feels to see light at the end of the tunnel, to get over the hurdles being thrown your way, these uncontrollable situations.
In life, we will have many issues and uncontrolled variables; however, life is about overcoming them.
